SOFTWARE ENGINEER/DEVELOPER (Technology Co-founder)
Location: Arlington, VA or Austin, TX
Keen Guides is looking for a developer to join our team as technology co-founder and further develop the Keen Guides video tour guides platform. Keen Guides is an Arlington, VA, based startup company taking advantage of new enhancements in mobile technology and the web and therein aiming to change the landscape of how people experience new places and how they learn about their surroundings. The product will encompass combinations of multimedia (audio, video, streaming), geo-location (gps, mapping), social interaction (recommendations, discussions, reviews), crowd sourcing (authoring tools, etc.), and much more.

Worth noting is that Keen Guides is in the very early stage and we’d like to reiterate that the opportunity is there for the candidate to spearhead the technology product development as technology co-founder. Compensation will be primarily equity based – thus with a HUGE upside seeing where we plan on taking this company.
To summarize, we are looking for an energetic technology geek (guru, nerd, mastermind, hacker) who would love to build a new product from the ground up and guide the architecture of our technology platform going forward. We need someone big-picture enough to see the features, platforms, and ideas for the future, but nimble enough to get stuff coded and into testing immediately.

Do you have some tech skills you want to apply to new and interesting real life projects? Keen Guides as a tech startup is looking for undergraduate and graduate students that are interested in a part-time opportunity. You will work on development of the core Keen Guides product, a platform for mobile tour content, as well as some related and interesting applications in the travel and tourism space. You will have the opportunity to get involved with multimedia and mobile technologies, ecommerce solutions, location based services and social media integration, amongst others.
